SUPPORT ANTI-NEOMODERNISM

Long before Rembrandt and ever since
Folks have been collecting prints.
This tradition suits an age
When the newest stuff is all the rage.
When everyone is trying too hard
To be considered avant garde.
So enjoy the modern razzle-dazzle
But hang an etching in your castle.

DEDICATION

This site is dedicated to the creative impulse that’s in us all whether it comes out as art, music, literature, or in some phase of our daily work.

The impulse holds civilization together and if it’s suppressed or simply not properly encouraged, the result is chaos.

So when you click on one of the gallery pages above or check on What’s New, I hope you’re encouraged to create.

A friend and I once went to a famous art teacher’s one-man show which turned out to be a sad disappointment, but after we had been there just a few minutes my friend grinned and said: “I could do better than this. I’m going to start painting again.”

Thus was launched a satisfying career in art.

Should this happen to you, I’d say, “Mission accomplished!”
